| FEATURES | BENEFITS | |
| Digital Hearing Aids | Digital Hearing Aids offer: Gain Processing, Feedback Reduction, Noise Reduction, Speech Enhancement, Directional Microphones and Digital Signal Processing--versus Analog Hearing Aids (which just increase volume on all sounds). Digital Signal Processing converts sound waves to digital 1's and 0's. The microprocessor recognizes and amplifies human voices in specific frequencies, separates and minimizes background noise frequencies. | |
| Softwave System (TM) | System that monitors and minimizes abrupt noise impluses. | |
| Mild to Severe 0-80% Hearing Loss | See Suggested Fitting Chart Below | |
| 12 Band Equalizer | Independently controlled areas for gain adjustment only bands of frequencies that can be adjusted to best meet your hearing loss. Just like equalizer bands on a stereo, the Audition Basic model has 12 bands | |
| 4 Channels | 4 Position button enhances human voices in different environments: 1. Noisy environments, 2. Regular listening environments. 3. for telephone, 4. Music environments | |
| Adjustable Threshold Levels | Adjust threshold levels on all 2 channels from 40-70dB | |
| Non-occlusive ear bud | Vented Holes in the small ear tip that goes in the ear allow you to hear ambient sounds for better sound orientation | |
| Microphones: 2 (Adaptive Directionality) |
Adaptive Directionality microphones constantly monitor different listening environments and automatically adjusts for optimal benefit--which means you are able to pick out human voices better and reduce background noise from sides and behind. A Consumer Reports(TM) survey results shows this feature, Adaptive Directionality, helps in social settings, while listening to the TV or radio, and for hearing household noises. |
|
| Adaptive Feedback Cancellation | Constant monitoring automatically eliminates whistling, especially when using the phone. Resists over-amplification from horns, organ music, timer alarms, and bells. Consumer Reports surveys showed this helped quell squeals when your hearing aid gets close to phone. |
|
| On/Off Switch built into Battery Door | Easy to open and turn off when you sleep at night | |
| Adjustable "low battery" indicator | Use various levels to notify you of low battery | |
| Programmable Telecoil | Technology improves ability to understand speech on the telephone while wearing your hearing aid. Consumer Reports surveys results shows that it helps amplify sounds from your phone without picking up background noise, which helped prevent feedback. |
|
| Uses 10 battery | Small sized batteries allows for a small hearing aid behind the ear. | |
| AGC-o Output Controlled Compression Limiting | Helps control volume or gain clarity—compresses or limits distortion of signal | |
| Programmable Power On | Delay provides patient comfort during placement | |
| Available Colors | Beige, Silver |
|
| Warranty | 2 Year Coverage | |
| Earhook Availability | Yes-Extends Suggested Fitting range in low frequencies from 40dB to 80dB and high frequencies from 90 to 95 dB (see fitting range diagram below) | |

Dear Jon,
I have been using the new hearing aids that I purchased for about 5 days now.
At first, I was amazed and somewhat over loaded with all of the things that I could hear. I noticed that I can now hear my computer but while I sat listening to my computer, I was able to hear the clock on the wall behind me.
My brain went a bit crazy with all of the sounds coming at me from every direction but that has settled down and now it is just background noise.
Having had "in the ear" hearing aids, I was able to hear the many sounds that seemed to be blocked by those former aids.
I had a problem with the ear piece inserted into the ear. They itched. Although they sometimes still do, this has diminished considerable as I have used them more.
When my wife came home from work and spoke to me in her normal voice, I asked why she was shouting. She is amazed that my voice level has dropped because I can now hear myself.
As I am talking on the phone using a headset, sometimes I get a slight feedback in my left ear. It doesn't last and will probably go away.
Where I used my "in the ear" hearing aids very seldom while I was home, the first thing I do when I get up is put on these hearing aids and enjoy the early morning sounds of waking up to a new day.
I had a friend who came to visit me and he has hearing aids, I think Analog, but seldom wears them. His voice is always nearly a shout. I let him try my hearing aid for the left ear and his voice level all of a sudden became very quiet because he could hear himself. You may get an order from him in days to come.
I am so impressed with my increase in hearing, words cannot seem to express my joy. We are going to a dinner dance tonight and I will test them for the first time in a noisy environment. We'll see.
Just wanted to report that you will not get these aids back.
Sincerely,
Deloy Denning.

Love them! I walked into the kitchen to talk to my wife and I heard everything she said. They really make a difference. They are as advertised. So much better than the ones I had in my ear..that I never used. Thank you.

Thank you so much!

I love my new hearing aids. They were about 1/3 the cost of the ones I
purchased online in 2005, I give you a 5 star rating. They have two
microphones which my old ones did not have. I have already recommended you
to a couple of friends.

I am more than pleased with the hearing aids that I got from you, I would rate them 5 stars. My wife does not have to yell over the television to talk to me any more. I get a full 6 days off of each set of batteries. They are very comfortable to wear. I now am able to carry on an intellegent conversation
with other people.

I have been awaiting the test of time to form a final conclusion on the
Audition AD model, wrestling with the challenges of trying to adapt
to the process of wearing hearing aids. After trying out models costing over
$5,000 and under $500, I can say that this model you sent equals or beats
the performance of them all. You, at Century Hearing Aids have been very
responsive and service oriented.
Like any mechanical device, they are not without some issues. Occasionally,
a battery doesn't make good contact, resulting in a low level static.
Opening and closing the holder a couple of times has resolved that problem
so far.

I had in ear hearing aids that were 10 years old and needed new ones. I was tested locally and tried a pair of open ear aids. I like them very much but not the price of $6200 that I could not afford. I researched and found this site and sent numerous emails to Jon with questions. I could hardly believe that similar aids were only $1500 but because of the 60 day guarantee I decided to try them. I love the open ear aids because everything sounds more normal. I did need an ajustment and he promptly sent me a box for expedited return. When I got them back I still needed another minor adjustment to my liking and Jon sent the name of a local person who came to my house and changed the settings. This may seem a little inconvenient but with the tremendous savings I didn't mind doing that. The quality of the hearing aids, the extremely low price and excellent service are great. If you are hesitating about whether or not to buy don't. You'll be glad you made this purchase.

I am pleased with my hearing aids. At a dance last Friday night my best friend complained of his. I took out one of mine and he put it in and his eyes opened wide at the sound he was hearing.

I have had these hearing aids for over two months now and after the first defective one was replaced have had no problems except for the need to clear the ear wax in the hearing tube before each use. I have never worn hearing aids before but have had no problems adjusting to these. I really don't notice much difference in hearing except that now I hear my wife and hear in church and when the family is around, I don't have to say 'sorry, I didn't get that' any longer.
I can verify that Jon stands in back of his product and his customer service is excellent.
The only reason I don't give this product a 5 star rating is because it goes through batteries every three days and I often have trouble getting it to start working again when I shut the battery door each morning. It often takes three or four tries before it kicks in. I blame that on the batteries that came with it and hope that stops when I run out of them and buy new ones. If not, then the aids do have a two year warranty and that is a real plus. For the price, you can't go wrong!
